Philanthropy Events Manager

For nearly 40 years, ANEB has been making a difference in the lives of people living with eating disorders and their loved ones by providing specialized, immediate, and free services. More than 38,000 people used its services over the past year. Together with the ANEB+ Foundation, the organization develops services, leads ambitious projects, and mobilizes the community to ensure that no one has to face an eating disorder alone.

Job description :

Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Philanthropic Development, the Philanthropy Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and developing philanthropic events and fundraising activities for the organization and its foundation. The role contributes to fundraising campaigns, partnership development, and philanthropic revenue growth.

Responsibilities :
  • Plan, coordinate, and ensure the success of fundraising events.
  • Develop budgets and monitor event finances.
  • Grow and enhance existing campaigns and events.
  • Prepare sponsorship proposals.
  • Identify new opportunities for philanthropic events.
  • Coordinate suppliers, volunteers, and committees.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to promote campaigns.
  • Propose new ideas to increase philanthropy initiatives and revenues.
  • Maintain relationships with corporations, foundations, donors, and partners.
  • Contribute to maintaining free specialized eating disorder services throughout Quebec.
  • Participate in initiatives such as Maison ANEB, the organization’s 40th anniversary celebrations, the annual fundraising event Célébrons le plaisir de manger, the Rentrée des conseillers, and the #abaslesta campaign.
Candidate profile :
  • University education in a relevant field.
  • General experience in philanthropy and business development related to events.
  • Extensive experience organizing philanthropic events.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and autonomous.
  • Creative and proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.
  • Knowledge of Canva, WordPress, DonorPerfect, or Zeffy is considered an asset.
  • Ability to build relationships, take initiative, and move projects forward.

  • Salary between $70,000 and $75,000 based on experience.
