Food Services Manager

CPE du Campus is a childcare center welcoming 60 children in a warm, respectful, and collaborative environment. The center follows the Gazelle and Potiron program, which promotes healthy eating habits, the joy of eating, and active lifestyles in early childhood. Every team member plays an essential role in supporting children’s well‑being and development.

 

Job description :

CPE du Campus is seeking a dedicated Food Services Manager who is passionate about healthy eating, children’s well‑being, and teamwork. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals aligned with the Gazelle and Potiron guidelines while ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards, including the needs of children with dietary restrictions.

 

Responsibilities :
  • Develop varied and balanced menus in accordance with Canada’s Food Guide and the Gazelle and Potiron program.
  • Prepare meals and snacks for 60 children and staff.
  • Purchase and store food in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Plan food purchases based on the established menu and allocated budget.
  • Adapt daily menus or prepare specialized menus for children with allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions.
  • Contribute to the development of healthy eating habits and enjoyment of food among children.
  • Maintain positive team spirit and collaborative interpersonal relationships.
Candidate profile :
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in institutional cooking or equivalent relevant experience.
  • MAPAQ food hygiene certification.
  • Valid first aid training.
  • A clear criminal background check are required.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, organization and attention to detail.
  • A strong interest in healthy eating, children’s well‑being, and teamwork.
