Job description :

Reporting to the Installation Supervisor, the Installation Electromechanic is responsible for installing, assembling, commissioning, and optimizing TOMRA automated recovery systems at customer sites. Through strong technical skills and attention to detail, the role ensures reliable, safe, and high‑quality installations.

Specific Working Conditions:

  • Permanent full‑time position
  • 4x10h schedule (Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday)
  • Occasional weekend work
  • Frequent travel across Quebec
  • Occasional travel within North America
  • Company vehicle available on site
  • On‑site work at customer locations
  • Technical and industrial environment
Responsibilities :
  • Install TOMRA equipment at customer sites following plans, timelines, and safety standards
  • Configure, test, adjust, and reset automated recovery systems
  • Commission equipment and ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
  • Apply corrective actions safely and efficiently
  • Interact professionally with customers and explain work performed as needed
  • Represent TOMRA Canada positively during installations
Candidate profile :
  • DEP in Electromechanics or equivalent training
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanics, electricity, and electronics
  • Functional English for communication with North American clients (asset)
  • Comfortable using computerized health and safety management systems
  • Reliable, efficient, and available for travel
  • Strong team spirit and autonomy
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Openness to occasional travel within North America
