Job description:
We are looking to strengthen our cleaning team to support our daily operations and long-term growth. Reporting to the Evening Supervisor, the Tank Cleaner performs internal cleaning of tanks and vessels as required. He/she performs reconditioning cleaning tasks on floors and equipment, as well as other end-of-production maneuvering tasks. You’ll be joining a dynamic team of long-standing employees. Our employees are our most important assets, and we adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Comply with current safety regulations
- Working in tandem for confined space entries:
- Act as supervisor for the cleaner
- Entering confined spaces
- Clean the inside of the tanks:
- Assemble scaffolding (as required)
- Remove skins from walls and equipment
- Remove paint build-up from tanks and equipment
- Remove festoons
- Dismantle, clean and reassemble the mobile filler:
- Dismantle filler pipes and heads
- Clean and remove paint build-up
- Refurbish equipment
- Restore production floors and equipment (deep cleaning);
- Report any incidents relating to health and safety or equipment and processes;
- Keep your workspace clean and tidy;
- Other duties include manual labeling of containers, waste disposal and recycling, as well as end-of-production maneuvering tasks.
Qualifications :
- 2 years’ experience as a labourer and working in confined spaces
- Confined-space certification (training available)
- Lockout training an asset (training available)
- Teamwork
- Experience in the chemical industry an asset
