Job Description :
As a Procurement Manager, you play a key role in the company’s value chain. You are responsible for the efficient, sustainable and strategic procurement of raw materials, technology components, equipment and services required for our manufacturing and service activities.
You ensure environmental compliance, traceability, cost optimization, inventory management and product quality in a circular economy approach.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement TOMRA Canada’s procurement strategy.
- Select and evaluate suppliers, analyze their performance, suggest areas for improvement.
- Negotiate contracts, purchasing conditions and strategic partnerships.
- Maintain long-lasting, effective relationships with suppliers.
- Plan supply requirements according to production forecasts.
- Manage inventory and optimize stock levels.
- Collaborate with production, logistics and service departments to ensure a smooth supply chain
- Monitor the market to identify new supply opportunities.
Qualifications:
- University degree in business administration, logistics option or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a sense of priorities.
- Computer skills: Excel, ERP/MRP software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Bilingualism (French and English) required to interact with international suppliers.
