Job description :

The Production Labourer is responsible for supporting plant operations through general maintenance activities and production assistance. The role helps ensure that the facility remains clean, organized, and operationally efficient.

Depending on operational needs, the successful candidate may also work as a packer on the production line, assist with packaging activities, and operate a forklift.

Working Conditions

  • Noisy work environment.

Responsibilities :

General Maintenance

  • Perform general plant maintenance duties.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Complete tasks such as: sweeping, cleaning, painting, outdoor maintenance, snow removal, general upkeep.

Production Support

  • Provide coverage on production lines as required.
  • Assemble boxes and packaging bags.
  • Package finished products according to procedures.
  • Operate production equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Material Handling

  • Operate a forklift when required.
  • Move raw materials and finished products.
  • Support daily manufacturing and warehouse operations.
Candidate profile :

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good physical stamina.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a computerized environment.
  • Ability to speak, understand, and write French.
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Assets

  • Forklift operating experience.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • At least one year of production experience.
