Job Description :
The Payroll Manager is responsible for carrying out the entire payroll process for all the organization’s employees. He or she ensures data accuracy, compliance with labor standards and adaptation of practices to employees’ specific needs. This position plays a key role in the smooth running of the organization’s administration and compliance with legal obligations.
Responsibilities :
- Complete payroll processing for all employees.
- Collect, validate and enter data on hours worked.
- Check the accuracy of timesheets in relation to scheduling.
- Review and validate salary calculations.
- Ensure compliance with labor standards.
- Produce data required for invoicing.
- Carry out accounting operations and government remittances (DAS, CNESST, etc.).
- Produce tax slips (T4, Relevé 1).
- Document payroll procedures.
- Answer staff questions about payroll.
- Adapt its approach to the specific needs of employees, particularly those with disabilities.
- Participate in the integration of new employees.
Qualifications:
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in accounting.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Rigor, discretion and attention to detail.
- National Payroll Institute certification (an asset).
