Job Description :
As aMechanical Design Engineer, you will study, design and develop automated recovery equipment for the TOMRA Technologie division. You will be responsible for the evaluation, design, testing and launch of new systems, while providing technical support to the assembly and service teams. You will also participate in continuous improvement projects.
Responsibilities :
- Design and develop high-performance, reliable automated recovery systems.
- Plan and manage design projects (estimates, specifications, reports, contractual documents).
- Evaluate and improve the performance of mechanical systems (dynamic analysis, vibrations, failures).
- Support product launches and installation follow-up, providing technical support in the field.
- Carry out technical research and negotiate with suppliers to define specifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and quality of projects.
- Ensuring innovation and protection of intellectual property.
Profile required:
- University degree in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 5 years design experience in an industrial environment.
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Creative and artistic spirit, curiosity and interest in innovation.
- Practical field experience and understanding of manufacturing realities.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
- Autonomy, organization, team spirit and pressure management.
- Analytical profile with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel occasionally in Quebec.
