Job description
Under the supervision of the Assistant General Manager, the Maintenance Manager plans, coordinates, supervises and optimizes building and equipment maintenance work. He/she manages a maintenance worker as well as the housekeeping and laundry team, while providing positive leadership and constant support.
Responsibilities
- Maintain building interiors and exteriors (paint, equipment, locks, etc.).
- Remove snow from driveways and sidewalks in winter, applying salt or sand as needed.
- Carry out apartment renovations (painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing and basic electricity).
- Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance.
- Carry out annual and monthly inspections.
- Periodically check equipment (alarm panels, fire extinguishers, emergency lights).
- Prevent and maintain maintenance equipment.
- Manage service calls and make certain purchases.
- Ensure the safety of the premises.
- Supervise and support the housekeeping and laundry team.
- Moving apartments.
Profile required
- Secondary 5 diploma or DEP in a job-related field.
- General knowledge of electrical systems, heating, plumbing and general maintenance.
- Customer service oriented and comfortable interacting with residents.
- Autonomy, professionalism, courtesy and thoroughness.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Manual renovation skills.
- Ability to supervise a team and manage unforeseen events.
- Adaptability and effective communication.
- Good physical condition.
