Computer Network Technician

Job Description :

We’re looking for a motivated IT Network Technician to support, maintain and upgrade our technological infrastructures. You will work with users, manage equipment and networks, and contribute to the stability and security of the IT environment.
The position is full-time, daytime, Monday to Friday, with one trip per week to the Alexandria site. Telecommuting may be granted depending on operational needs. Mileage is reimbursed according to internal policies.

Responsibilities :

  • Respond to user requests via tickets or calls and ensure an efficient support service.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software faults, malfunctions or anomalies.
  • Implement preventive solutions and document interventions.
  • Escalate incidents to the appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Install, configure and maintain IT equipment according to user needs.
  • Offer technical assistance and basic training to employees.
  • Design and improve network architectures for information systems.
  • Install and configure infrastructures: physical/virtual servers, networks, telephony, storage, messaging and security.
  • Real-time supervision of network and equipment.
  • Manage access rights to servers, applications and systems according to user profiles.
  • Monitor supplier and service provider contracts.
  • Plan and coordinate system maintenance, installation and upgrades.

Profile required:

  • Degree in computer science or related field, with at least 2 years’ relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge of computer networks, telecommunications and operating systems.
  • Ability to work on two sites and travel on a weekly basis.
  • Excellent communication and service skills.
  • Bilingual French-English required.
  • Team spirit, thoroughness and respect for procedures.
