Job Description :

The Buyer is responsible for carrying out purchasing activities for goods and services in accordance with established standards. He/she ensures the efficient and timely procurement of goods, in compliance with internal policies, budgets and operational requirements. The incumbent manages orders, monitors deliveries and returns, and communicates with multiple suppliers.

Responsibilities :

  • Process internal purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders
  • Follow up orders with suppliers to guarantee delivery times
  • Maintain up-to-date data in the ERP system (prices, lead times, quantities, suppliers)
  • Manage delivery discrepancies, returns and non-conformities
  • Collaborate with production, inventory and logistics teams to meet operational needs
  • Participate in the search for and selection of new suppliers when necessary, in collaboration with the procurement team.
  • Support the procurement specialist in certain administrative tasks or ad hoc projects

Qualifications :

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies in Business Management Techniques or Administration
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Ability to negotiate and manage suppliers
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (production processes, raw materials, lead times);
  • Mastery of the Office suite, particularly advanced Excel
  • Good understanding of business processes and ERP systems
  • Bilingualism (French and English) for internal and external communications
  • Rigorous, organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage stress, carry out several follow-ups in parallel and coordinate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
