Job Description :
We are looking for an experienced Buyer to support our Purchasing team. If you like dynamic environments, procurement challenges and supplier relations, this job is for you!
Responsibilities :
- Process purchase requisitions for various projects
- Track deliveries and manage priorities
- Keep critical data (min/max) up to date in the system
- Anticipate and manage risks related to strategic suppliers
- Participate in cost reduction initiatives
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with various departments to streamline processes
- Manage inventory levels and anticipate needs
- Select suppliers according to quality, cost and delivery criteria
Profile required:
- DEC, AEC or Bachelor’s degree in administration, logistics or supply management (major asset)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in purchasing/procurement in the manufacturing sector
- Experience with the Kanban system is mandatory
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Bilingualism (French/English) required (dealings with local and international suppliers)
- Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
