Accounting Technician

Job description :

Reporting to the VP Finance, the Accounting Technician supports the company's accounting and administrative activities.

The role also provides assistance to the Purchasing and Human Resources teams as part of daily operations.

Responsibilities :
  • Perform accounting entries for accounts payable.
  • Assist with weekly payroll preparation.
  • Send payment confirmation emails to suppliers.
  • Enter weekly supplier payments into the banking platform.
  • Prepare consumption tax reports.
  • Validate and enter deposits into the accounting system.
  • Deposit cheques at the bank when required.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with inventory accounting.
  • Support month-end and year-end journal entries.
  • Assist with preparing management dashboards.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and visitor reception.
  • Support the Purchasing and Human Resources teams in daily activities.
  • Organize meetings and arrange travel bookings.
Candidate profile :
  • Excellent command of French.
  • Functional English.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Experience using accounting software.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.Education
  • DEP or DEC in Administration.
