Fundraising Organizer

The Legacy Fund for the Environment is a Quebec-based environmental charity dedicated to protecting nature. It supports citizen-led initiatives to preserve green spaces and biodiversity, including funding environmental legal actions, and promotes awareness of environmental laws through education and outreach.

Job description :

The Fundraising Organizer supports the organization’s overall fundraising strategy by planning and executing campaigns, organizing events and developing funding opportunities.

Specific Working Conditions:

  • Full‑time position (35 hours/week)
  • 8-week contract (June 17 to August 9)
  • Remote work with flexible schedule
  • Occasional travel for events
  • Funded through Canada Summer Jobs
  • Salary: $20/hour
Responsibilities :
  • Plan and organize fundraising events
  • Coordinate logistics, sponsorships and volunteers
  • Develop and manage budgets
  • Monitor financial performance and report results
  • Maintain donor databases
  • Collaborate with communications and fundraising teams
  • Develop outreach strategies
  • Identify funding opportunities
  • Write grant proposals and applications
Candidate profile :
  • Strong communication skills in English and French
  • Experience in fundraising or event planning (asset)
  • High level of integrity and organization
  • Familiarity with Canada Helps (asset)
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Ability to work independently
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Passion for environmental issues

Eligibility – Canada Summer Jobs

  • Aged 15–30 at the start of employment
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee
  • Valid Social Insurance Number
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
