Environmental Awareness Agent – Green Patrol

The Regroupement des éco‑quartiers (REQ), in collaboration with GRAME, works to raise environmental awareness and mobilize citizens through concrete community actions. In Dorval, the Green Patrol plays a key role in educating the public and promoting sustainable practices.

Job description :

The Regroupement des éco‑quartiers (REQ) is seeking environmental awareness agents to form the Dorval Green Patrol. The position focuses on field‑based outreach activities aimed at educating residents and encouraging environmentally responsible behaviors.

Specific Working Conditions:

  • Seasonal summer position
  • Primarily outdoor work
  • Travel by bicycle
  • Community‑based field work
  • Variable schedule depending on activities
  • Position open to candidates aged 15 to 30
Responsibilities :
  • Patrol by bicycle to conduct inspections and awareness activities
  • Lead educational workshops for various audiences (e.g. day camps)
  • Conduct door‑to‑door outreach
  • Staff information kiosks in public spaces
  • Participate in training sessions on environmental topics
  • Compile field data into digital reports
  • Perform other related outreach duties
Candidate profile :
  • Strong interest in environmental issues
  • Experience in facilitation or outreach (asset)
  • Community involvement (asset)
  • Dynamic and outgoing personality
  • Initiative and autonomy
  • Bilingual
  • Comfortable using basic computer tools (Office, Google Drive)
  • Aged 15 to 30 at the start of employment
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or recognized refugee
  • Valid Social Insurance Number
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (asset)
