Job description :

The Town is seeking a Recreation Technician to help organize, plan and deliver cultural, recreational and community activities.

This one‑year replacement role offers hands‑on municipal experience and the chance to contribute to community development.

Responsibilities :

Conduct research and recommend activities meeting community needs.
Develop activity calendars; plan and coordinate events.
Collaborate with associations, organizations and service providers.
Negotiate and coordinate services from external partners.
Plan facility use and equipment needs.
Monitor budgets and ensure compliance.
Write promotional content and activity summaries.
Support volunteer recognition events.
Perform administrative tasks related to recreation activities.

Candidate profile :

College diploma in Recreation Techniques or related field.
2 years experience in a similar role (asset).
Valid driver’s licence.
CPR / First Aid certification (asset).
Availability for occasional evenings & weekends.
Team spirit, autonomy, creativity and resourcefulness.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and priority‑management abilities.
Strong French & English communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with activity‑management software (asset).
